10 Years

under veil kiss

Its been 10 whole years since we said, “I do” in front of our family and friends at the ages of 23, on the hottest day of the summer.  I still remember his bottom lip trembling as he recited his vows, and after the ceremony was over me whispering, “can we go home now?” (neither of us had very much sleep!).  Three weeks earlier we had moved into our first house, the one we still live in.  It was just such a relief, we were really married.  And I would marry him all over again.

Last dance

First and foremost we’ve always been friends. I still look forward to him walking in that door every evening after work. We have been through so much in the last decade, being able to lean on each other has really gotten us through.  Adoption can be stressful, and he pushes me to be positive that it will happen one day.  I get butterflies picturing him being a father.

We are both looking forward to many more adventures together in the future!
